The job search process can certainly make us feel powerless. We can’t make people call when we want them to. We can’t make openings happen. We can’t even figure out where to look for our next job. It’s obvious that we’re not in control of anything. But the truth is, we have never been in control and we never will be. Each of us is standing in the future we were facing a few years ago. Our future never changed. We just didn’t know it would look like this, did we? In this world nothing is secure, but in the Kingdom of God everything is secure. This would be a great time to surrender the reins completely to God, and let Him give us the power and strength we’ve always wanted.
