Job Summary

 

As a champion of people, the Talent Development Manager serves to empower & equip employees to do their best. As a champion of culture, this manager serves to cultivate an environment where employees can flourish and utilize their God-given talents. Responsible for talent development through processes, programs and strategic initiatives in alignment with corporate HR.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and maintenance of talent development programs that enable the line of business to continue to grow and scale.

  • Facilitate training and leadership development programs for new and emerging leaders as well as assist in ongoing development of GuideStone employees.

  • Support and maintain Cultural training sessions for existing and New Hires.

  • Maintain close collaboration and alignment with various stakeholder groups including but not limited to HR Business Partners, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, and the Lines of Business.

  • Provide support and some execution for people processes and programs that span across the employee life cycle including engagement surveys and talent review process.

  • Support training content design, program and resource development as needs arise to support development and talent processes at GuideStone.

  • Evaluate program effectiveness and provide recommendations for program and process improvement.

  • Research and stay up to date on learning and talent development best practices.

 

What You'll Need

  • 3-5 Years leading programs and projects.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources or related field or combination of demonstrated experience, education, and training.

  • Proficient with all other Outlook, MS Office suite of tools, and project planning tools

  • Content Design experience preferred.

  • Excellent organizational skills and abilities

  • Ability to interact frequently with a wide variety of stake holders across many functions.

  • Ability to communicate difficult concepts, influence and present to different leadership levels.

  • Experience working on projects that have a cross-team impact.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through complex problems and manage change.

  • Highly collaborative and self-sufficient

  • Communicates with honesty and empathy and creates the space for others to do the same.

  • Decision-making skills with an understanding of employee relationships, people management and training
